Alex Sugerman-Brozan represents pension, health and welfare, and other employee benefit trust funds in their efforts to safeguard the hard-won benefits of working men and women. Alex engages in both state and federal ERISA litigation to collect delinquent employer contributions and is experienced in the use of mechanic’s liens, bond claims, joint checks and other innovative collections techniques.

In addition to his ERISA collections work, Alex’s practice also involves representing unions in arbitrations, negotiations, and before state and federal labor boards.

Alex has been an attorney at Segal Roitman since 2012. Prior to joining the firm, Alex represented building trades unions and their benefit funds, as well as individual employees in class action lawsuits centering on wages, tips, and franchise agreements. Alex also spent five years directing Prescription Access Litigation, a national coalition of unions and consumer groups in bringing class action lawsuits against pharmaceutical companies. He also worked for Health Law Advocates, a legal services organization representing low-income health care consumers, where he was the recipient of the Wendy Parmet Fellowship.

Alex is an avid cyclist and cycling advocate, and has served as a board member and volunteer for several bicycle advocacy organizations.
