Jasper has represented unions and union members in arbitration, collective bargaining, at the National Labor Relations Board, at the Massachusetts Department of Labor Relations, and in federal court. In state and federal court, Jasper has helped individual workers fight for their rights and has helped employee benefit funds collect payments from delinquent employers to ensure that workers’ health insurance and retirement are fully funded. Jasper advises unions on internal governance issues and assists employee benefit funds with ERISA compliance and in maintaining their federal tax-exempt status. Jasper has also appeared in front of the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination, Department of Labor Standards, and the Bid Protest Unit of the Attorney General’s Office.
While at Northeastern University School of Law, Jasper worked as an intern at Segal Roitman and Greater Boston Legal Services. He also interned for Judge Norman Stahl on the First Circuit Court of Appeals. After law school, Jasper served for a year as a judicial law clerk to Judge Peter W. Agnes, Jr. of the Massachusetts Appeals Court. Jasper has been an associate at Segal Roitman since 2012.
Jasper grew up far away from the Boston area, in the United States Virgin Islands. Since the 2014-15 winter season, he no longer lets longer term residents of New England tell him that he hasn’t seen a real winter. Outside of work, Jasper’s hobbies include reading, running, and keeping up with politics.
