Ryan represents unions and union members before arbitrators, public retirement boards, at the National Labor Relations Board, and at the Massachusetts Department of Labor Relations. He has negotiated a number of collective bargaining agreements in the public and private sectors.
Prior to joining Segal Roitman, Ryan served as vice-president of UAW Local 2322 in Western Massachusetts, where he represented and organized workers in higher education and human services. At law school, he edited the publication “Extra Legal” as a member of the Editorial Board of the Northeastern University Law Review. After law school, Ryan worked for a year as judicial law clerk to Justice Mary Thomas Sullivan at the Massachusetts Appeals Court.
Ryan lives on the North Shore and enjoys spending time with his family, reading, and working on his house. He has written and recorded several albums of country-rock music as a member of the Salvation Alley String Band.
